The Design

A tool watch with purpose

The Rapture of the Deep draws from the utilitarian beauty of early dive watches — the pioneering instruments of the 1950s and 60s — with a focus on legibility, robustness, and no-nonsense functionality.

Rather than rehash the past, it reinterprets it. The textured brass sandwich dial evokes the seabed. The case at 38.5mm wears with authority without overwhelming the wrist.

Deliberately restrained: familiar, timeless, and quietly confident. It doesn’t try to shout. It just does its job — and looks damn good doing it.

The Name

Rapture of the Deep

Coined by Jacques-Yves Cousteau — 1950s

Ivresse des grandes profondeurs — the intoxication of the great depths. Cousteau’s phrase described nitrogen narcosis, which sets in around 100 feet below the surface. A sense of profound calm. Confidence. Clarity.

Likened to the warmth of the first drink, it is the ocean’s way of reminding you that you are a guest in its world. We named this watch after that moment — because the best things require depth to reach them.
